General Meetings
Empowering Health, Building Community
Empowering Health, Building Community
The African American Health Coalition works to develop a greater understanding of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). We are working toward this goal by providing education presentations at our bimonthly general meetings, inviting community based organizations to attend meetings to learn about SDOH and to join the coalition in our efforts, and inviting community members to learn about SDOH and to join the coalition in our efforts.
African American Health Coalition meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every other month virtually via Zoom.
Here are the notes and information from our past General Meetings!
The upcoming meeting will be held soon. Sign up below!
Hello everyone! Thank you for attending the general meeting this week. It’s always great to see old and new faces, and to hear all about what we are doing to support our communities. As mentioned during the meeting we have revised our website. Most of the notes, highlights, flyers and events will be posted on the website. In the future you can go to www.new.afahchouston.org to find information from the meeting. There were many events mentioned that are coming up. If you want to add anything or forgot to share something please let us know. See the amended chat and flyer attachments.
